Just watched it. I can't believe that ending, was actually rolling over the floor from that one. That was awesome, seriously.

Do note, if you got ¦Torrent, you can add it as a webseed in the properties to also download through that link.

I've worked with Source SDK to do machinima in a past life, and I know how hard even the basics can be. I can fully appreciate just how much work went into this, and I'm amazed. Your (awesome) obsession with the project has created something that transcends machinima as a genre. The acting is fantastic, the characters believable and unique (plus beautifully animated), and the choreography is stunning. Plus the story strings everything together perfectly, balancing twists and action with exposition masterfully. I'm running out of adjectives here.
All I can do is assist in the distribution: This link's already on Chribba's web-seed list but won't get hit till his main peer hits bandwidth-issue territory. Please, if you download via HTTP, don't forget to seed the torrent if you've got spare bandwidth. Torrent clients are simple to set up to time-limit themselves to your off-peak time if you've got that to worry about.
http://assets.talkunafraid.co.uk/Clear_Skies2.wmv
I downloaded it via a special link John sent me. I did get ¦Torrent to seed it though, just noticed I uploaded 2 GB so far. |

MAGNIFICENT ... if only i had this kinda talent and time :) please look me up for help tho i would love to give you a hand in any way i could :)
You're certainly right, Clear Skies 1 is what got me into this game in the first place.

That's for the subtitlers and translators amongst us, you lovely people. I've updated the first post with this link, I'll do a roundup of mirrors at some point but for now I'm still chillaxing
But hey - thanks for the amazing response everyone! I am, once again, reading every post (even the ones who just didn't seem to 'get it' haha never mind) and I'm honoured to have made a lot of people happy for 46 minutes Also quite relieved I dodged "Matrix 2" syndrome \o/

I'd do it but I'd have to clear it with Ian Chisholm first. Ian, if you're reading this (I don't have your email or anything)is it ok to upload it to youtube? Credits and a link to evefiles.com would be provided in the description of course.
Probably pointless anyway as WMG is muting any videos with "their" music on it lately so you'd probably get the pictures but no sound
He didn't mind about Clear Skies 1 anyway. He linked to someone else uploading it.

Originally by: Calando Hello, EVE-O denizens.
I haven't been able to play EVE since December of last year, but that hasn't stopped me from keeping up with the game, or enjoying Clear Skies and Clear Skies 2.
My apologies to Arda Xi, but I beat you to the English Subs already. You can download my first revision of the english subs from EVE-Files, here:
http://dl.eve-files.com/media/0905/Clear_Skies_2_English_Subtitles.zip
I will of course be making revisions and corrections to the subtitles as necessary. If you find any errors, you can contact me at my email:
-Calando
Edit: whoops, linkified the link
'Tis no problem, I mainly did it for myself, but I guess I no longer have the responsibility to upload and update them.

Originally by: Fastercart Thanks to Calando and Arda Xi for the subtitle work. I'll be rewatching CS2 during tonight's patching with them.
Some added words that I didn't say before because I didn't want to spoil anything. But, I guess spoilers are fair game now. ^^
I was expecting the crew to get a new ship, but I expected a shiny new Tribal Tempest that the fans of CS1 begged CCP to give JR/Ian. After all, he provided Eve with so much advertisement and got many people to subscribe or resubscribe, I wanted to see it. In the end, I admit the Maelstrom makes more sense story wise.
Thanks also for submitting the script in a timely fashion. (:
Erm, mine aren't done yet, I'm still revising mine. Will probably upload them, possibly together with Dutch subtitles once I get around to translation.

Originally by: Wraith Dragonfang Just watched both episodes back to back. (Thank you to whoever may have posted the first one on youtube.) I must say the combination in the use of Gary's Mod (HL2) and Eve is by far one of the best machinima's I have had the joy of watching. I can understand the time it may have taken to produce such a fantastic piece of work. I will be sure and have my friends take a look at these videos.
Again fantastic work all around, and hey one can dream for a 3rd installment of Clear Skies.
He didn't use Gmod at all. It's all HL2 and Faceposer. On another note, I do believe it is necessary to fix the lack of whitespace between signature and post.

Originally by: Ithaki I think the above thing tells all, although i would like it if the quality of the video would be better next time, i suggest H.264 with vorbis in an MKV (OS nerds for the win). HDTV standard would be nice but maybe too much to ask, i might be saying something stupid here because i am not aware of any technical difficulties it would bring upon you.
I believe wmv format was chosen because most OSes can play it out of the box. H.264, DIVX, XVID, etc., require codec installation on Win XP. WMV allows a person to just download and play.
Nope. WMV is not at all the most portable codec. Windows Media Player at least supports DivX (And therefore XviD) out of the box, and H.264 we needn't even consider since this is hardly rendered in high definition. I think this codec was only chosen because it's the way the editor works. I also think it could be rendered in a better quality. On another note, I do believe it is necessary to fix the lack of whitespace between signature and post.
